Did they just put a hash brown in a whopper?
ie, exactly what I used to do when the breakfast menus was switching over to lunch.

Pretty much, yeah. There's bacon in there, too—it felt very breakfast-y for twenty past nine in the evening.

Take a Whopper, shove a hash brown and crispy bacon in there, and you've pretty much got it. It's part of their current promotional burger lineup.

They need to put more hash browns in between meat and bread. I can't be asked to get up early in the morning for McDonalds breakfast.

Is bacon an optional thing in the US? We've got it on the AU menu as a +extra.

Man, I love Burger King, a triple Whooper with double bacon is a thing to kill for . The funny thing is that where I live(Bulgaria) we only hate on McDonalds, because they are really shitty, but the other fast food chains like KFC, Subway and Burger King are sooooo much better that their originals in the USA.

Your guess is as good as mine; I've never been. :-P
I can, however, confirm that it's normally an add-on option here in the UK—it just came with the Texas Crispy by default.

I know that feeling. I'm reasonably sure that, the majority of times I've been awake to grab a McDonalds breakfast, it's because I couldn't get to sleep at all the night before.

If you're in the US - or, indeed, anywhere that isn't the UK - I'm not sure that it'll be on the menu, sadly.

For me it means I am a Hospital for some reason since every hospital in London has a McDonalds with a minute of it.

I've never been to the US, so I can't really compare fast food chains between here - the UK - and there. I get the impression McDonalds is a bit better here, though.

Heh, it's just what a recovering body needs, after all.
So far as I can tell, from my admittedly limited amount of time spent there, there are relatively few spots in central London where you're more than a couple of minutes away from a McDonalds. I've only been to a London branch once, though, because I generally like to make a point of trying something that's hard to get hold of outside of London whenever I'm there.

I went 3 times to 'Murica. I needed to eat fast and most of the time I saw something we had here, but I wanted to try there, every single time I regretted the decision, except for Five Guys, which sadly my country dosn't get.

Five Guys just started opening up branches here, though they're all in London as yet, so I haven't had the chance to try it. I hear nothing but good things, though.
They have these fine examples of Pininfarina design, too:
I can't wait to have a go.
